Sounds like it could be that. When mine was on the standard chip it used to overboost and cut out like that.

First you need to see if it will drive through 5k without boost pressure.

Very commonly caused by a phase and CPS syncronisation error.

ok,

so its not the boost limit on the chip if its doing it at 15 psi.

Change Phase sensor (make a not of which way round the wires are when you remove) and gap it correctly.

Change CPS and gap correctly.

***Alan s1 here***

Stu dont worry about it i have told luke 3 time to look and replace it also told him how much it was from you as thats where i got mine from

Luke was'nt it doing it on the std set up before milky went stg3 Ps the boost was'nt limited on that chip when i last had the car on the road 19 months ago O tho did'nt use it for long as you know

Stu i still have'nt forgoten to get the new chip off you its more of the case of not having the cash and the engine has only just gone back in as Luke can tell you (he's been my "bitch" As Jay and Rich says )

Hi Alan.

Not a problem pal, at your leisure. Money doesnt grow on trees sadly. If it did i would be a gardener.
