You met some people in a hostel and went travelling with them?
Were you on your own initially?
I think i'd be worried they turned into serial killers..but that's just me, lol.
Good pics tho. Must have been a great experience

I'll stick some more up if anyones interested, queenstown is beautiful, got the night life and you can walk an sit by that lake an do fook all!

Westy get yours up bud, where was your favourite place, how did you get around?

As for money fruit picked for a month or so, but not really spent a lot to be honest, hostels/camping range from free to 8 quid a night, staying in campsites and hostels. Costs $70 to fill the van up which is around 25-30 quid, and was between 4 of us, been on a budget so just have to choose the activities you really want to do, done lots of walking which is free fun! Food cost about the same, try to cook for my self most of the time to keep it cheap!

as the for the flight spend stop over in thailand or malaysia or anywhere you fancy! break it up a little.

There is nothing to worry about travelling alone. I have done it many times, my brother does it and numerous mates from uni have come over here to see me on their own en route to other countries.

To paint a picture, my brother was the kind of guy who had a gang of about 15 mates, all of whom he knew from secondary school. Gradually, most had kids by the time there were 22/23 and some now at 25 are on their second. He used to drink with these same guys every Friday and Saturday night and go out with them other nights of the week. He was living week by week.

I started to travel on my own and began with Australia during my first year of uni and have done a bit since at which time he thought enough was enough and as great as his mates are/were, they were doing very little in life.

He packed his bags up and started with Gibralter. He has now done most of the US, some of Canada, Mexico, Australia, Europe and has now just returned from Israel and Palestine (he was begged not to go by the family but still did). This is all from a 25 year old guy who saw his whole life ahead with the same mates he went to school with.

All of these trips have been on his own and he now has mates from every single trip who has met at hostels/tourist attractions. Travelling is geared around single people so there are lots of communal areas at hostels, team activities etc.

If he can do, anyone can so get out and see this amazing world before its too late.

fookin well said!

i thought travelling alone would be a no no before i came here, majority of people i've met travel alone, defo gonna do more and by myself, good travelling with some one else, but both want different things. you will meet loads of peeps if you pick the right hostels etc, and most of all make the effort to meet people i guess.

get on it, the grass is greener if you ask me!

alright mate Ill definately get some pics up dude some of the roads, scenery... amazing

as for favourite place... We flew into Christchurch, and in the bar/club at Base backpackers as soon as we walked in there was a drum and bass doo.. it was a pre party so we dumped the backpacks and headed straight for the bar.. as you do then went to some massive doo with a load of nutty NZ people and Hi Contrast was playing Door policy was No NOS Love my drum and bass so that kind of made it a special place BUT, also loved Queenstown Some good memories...

In a nut shell, I loved it all mate.. its hard not too...

We were a little flush after working in OZ, so we hired a car for a few weeks, split between 4 of us, so cost werent to bad..

I had all of them off the menu in the world bar and was trashed after drinkin many free pints as well on more than 1 occassion

As said Travelling is daunting if you never done it before but after a week or 2 you start to wonder if you were being a complete girls dick the whole of your life

DO IT IMO if anyone on here has thought about it, dont know one person who has regretted it yet
