Default Transit 2.5 running cost

I should be borrowing a V or W reg old shape 2.5 non turbo (i think) to go on a little break. How good or bad are these on diesel? It will be mostly motorway and national speed limit road driving no town stuff hopefully.
Anyone got one?
What MPG am I likely to get? 30ish?
How far does a tenner or score of derv get ya?
I thank you

I was thinking of the old veg oil but its not my van so dont wanna risk messing it up. Are they all turbo then if its V reg? It does puff out a bit of black smoke when it pulls away as if it comes on boost!
It has the newish style radio if that helps lol

most of them were non turbo.need to look under the bonnet really to tell. i have got an m plate 2.5 non turbo which my mum borrowed to move some stuff to her house in france. doing a steady 60 she got from sheffield to plymouth on half a tank. i couldn't believe it. i usually get about 400 miles from 60 litres.
