After selling the Esc cos thinking as an everyday car I may move to the Focus RS
If was to get one would want sub 20k miles, mint example (an entusiasts mint, not an ebay mint ) 1 or 2 owners, with some mods, like bluefin, exhaust, filter, manifold, samcos or roose motorsport hoses etc

Think you will be impressed with the Focus RS, especially as your Monte was std.
Braking & handling are far superiour to the Escort.
But most of all its a great useable car

My old Focus RS is for sale on the auto trader site is an 04 plate, build No 4418 on private plate R5 5 RSM.
23,000 miles now & is up for around the 14k mark.

I sold it Sept 05 with 11,000 miles on the clock for 17.5k.
Totally std bar a Full Blueflame Stainless.

Worth a look
