Well finally picked the car up last night,,,

the are the pics from here on auto trader...




... runs but bottom ends knocking.. but the shell solid, really suprised, original battery tray stil. but needs chassis legs welding..

plans are to tidy her up, new engine, and get her running and hopefully make a few shows..

well made the first changes today... 88 spec bumper back on..



and these also turned up today...

well didn`t take long.. only had 2 bolts holding old bumper on,,,

new ones not bolted on yet...

even took her for a rip up the road...

been deciding on a few things today...

decided that with the engine a recon box new clutch will be fitted as will have to rely on this car, especially with the littlen....

sold the ka i had to day so have a budget of around 2k so £1300 left in the kitty...

 

Did some work on her over the weekend...even tho i`ve got a stinking cold...

new number plates....



decided to have a proper check under the old girl....

sills,,, oops..


the bad rear arch... how it started...



after an atack with a blunt object...





got a bit demotivated after this and put here away.....

but sure i`ll get back on the case....

new gearbox also on the way thanks to MK.

update... but no pics...

recieved a gasket set today, for putting the engine parts together...

also got a standard 88 spec charge carrier...

should be over me mates simons tomorrow to get the engine out and hopefully over to mine to be fitted into ugt,,,,

 

aww shes gorgeous how old is she?you gonna get standard alloys mate?

 

17 weeks today...

no standard wheels, sticking with the 16" for now....

 

UPDATE...

well got some time to start stripping the bax for the new engine and box...

from start to finish...



stripping going well..



metering head out... and abs removed from engine.



all stored in the boot....



new engine is here,, but still need to go shopping at the parts counter for a few more new bits...

hope to get engine out monday....

was round simons yesterday taking the engine out

 

yeah i turned up after you left..

can`t believe the hairdressers is more important than rs turbo`s..

my ford dealer the other day told me u cant get the boot decals anymore

how much was yours mate? looks like im gonna have to go to another dealer somewhere and see if they will be anymore help

got the bits from www.fordpartsuk.com

was about £12 plus vat

always got what bits i`ve needed... even the header tank was the correct one,,,

just ordered another ton`s worth of parts from em....

ive had so many pain in the arse little problems doin my car, im so close to completing but just feel like stripping it and ebaying the whole fucking lot

 

believe me,,, we all feel like that at times... but sure yours will be well worth it in the end....
