HI I HAV EGOT ESCORT RS TURBO S2, I HAVE BEEN GEETIN A REALLY BAD NOISE IN ALL GEARS, NOT AS BAS WHEN PUT CLUTCH DOWN, HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MATE THAT NEED NEW GEARBOX
WHERE IS BEST PALCE TO GET ONE AND WHAT KIND I HAVE BEEN TOLD I CAN PUT XR3I OR DIESEL AS IT WILL CHEAPER, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA AND HOW MUCH AM I LOOKIN AT

 

If its not a proper RST box it will still fit and work, but you won't have a LSD and it will be a cunt to drive.

 

There's plenty of gearbox rebuild places around. Depends where you are, what kind of re-build you want (standard or uprated) and how much money you have.

The top end and fuel economy will suffer with a S1 box
