Just had this phone, 2 other people I know couldn't make the ring length longer than the factory setting of about 3 on theirs before it went to answerphone, anybody know how to change it?

Also, it won't display people name's when they call, just their number? Any ideas?

Just swapped from a Sony so this is taxing my brain and the manual is shit

 

Not sure about the ringing length, but the caller i.d should work if you switch the phone off for a minute then switch it back on.

 

Go to settings, then to network settings. Click Call Diverting and then cancel all.

Sounds like its set up to divert after a few rings. You can change how long you want it to ring for in there mate.

Trav: Yes im on Orange, only just found out that txt msgs default to save to SIM first then phone after...why not just give you the option to save where you want? Stupid phone
