metering head removal..stuck
Cheers Gup for the metering head.
problems is: ive disconnected all the pipes and fuel lines.But the screw holding the metering head on clostest to the cooler just goes round and round.
the other bit is inside the wing so i you cant get to it.
I dont want to send my car back to the garage, all i need is the screw of and i can fit it myself.
any ideas
if i remember right jack the car up on the pass side get underneath it (while axle stands are being used
)
you might be able to bend the bolt retainer up so you can then pull the bolt out or move the a/f meter out
if that makes sense

jacked her up as gup said to do in a pm. But the screw is actually inbetween the outter and inner wing bits so you cant get to it.
hard to describe really....kind of like: if you puut your hands together the screw would be in your palms....so you cant see it or turn it.
the only screw you can get to is under the black plastic part of the metering head.

thier should be 2 bolts under the a/f meter if you can undo these then you can pull the meter off the other bolt or it it the 2 bolts under the a/f meter that you cant get off

if you can c it move then clamp the fucker with mole grips till you have undone the bolt

i may be mistaken but i think the bolts you are refering to are the ones holding the black plastic or rubber (cant remember which) chock to the inner wing.
if yo have undone allof the other bolts then the metering unit just pulls up off of this chock. it may be a bit stiff but give it a tug and that should be it

kurdt5, you talking about the 10mm bolts that are underneath yea?
The good news is that the bolts just got into clips, so once you do finally get it off, you can just replave the clips. Perhaps maybe you will have to cut the head off the bolt? But that shouldnt be too hard
