how to get 250bhp out of a efi car
i have a low compression bottom end with a stage three head with a kent cam and it has had the inlet ports matched and it has a 4x4 t3 turbo i am changing it to efi ofab with beige injectors and a 195 chip how can i make this run 250 bhp

195 chip is designed to work with Bosch 701 injector (or beiges). These will be at their limit around 230bhp. For 250 you will need different injectors and a custom map. To be fair you will be best off changing the management for something a little better for the application. OMEX, Autronic etc

IMO, you would be lucky to make 195bhp on a 195 chip!
Aftermarket management is the way forward. Fully mapable and lots of nice features to help provide a nice driveable car.
Starting with the likes of VEMS for around Ł1000 fitted, then onto Omex which is Ł1700-Ł2500 fitted, depending on what is required.
We charge around Ł400 for a full remap on these systems.

i am on a very tight budget and i have most of the efi parts already from an old car so i might just as well use them
so what sort of chip injector set up would i have to use to get to the 230-250bhp level

stu at MSD can remap OFAB.. which i am going to have done,, its around Ł500 for a map.. rather than going to pay between Ł1000-Ł2000 and then Ł400 for a map. u can pay for 2 - 4 mapping sessions with ofab/c, have the ofab mapped with the correct impendance injectors, 3bar map sensor then you'l be fine..

yeah as above..
when you take your car for mapping, basically they will map it to what spec you have,, once they have it all sorted they stick all that info on a chip, which then plugs into the ecu..
siemens injectors can be good..

The only person that i know that does them is Stu @ MSD, They won't sell the injectors to u without mapping the car, because a - they won't work, and b - nobody else can Map the car...
Stu can get the OFAB to cope with upto 370hp at a push - but even he will tell you that u should be chaging to something else well before then.

1k for injectors and a map would most certainly have me looking for alternative management systems which have the possibility of being taken further.
With an after market system you could also claim some of that money back later if braking the car unlike with the standard management which is two to the penny
