Default anyone played with castor/camber angles on a s1?

sometimes my series one feels like it handles then i remember it dont as its an overpowered front wheel drive mk3 escort (basicly) just wondered if anyone had a good setup that handles well?also can you still get the adjustable tie bars or more to the point im after the ends as my rubber gaiters have split.
cheers kris

the caster isnt ajustable on an s1 as far as i know. nors the camber is it? unless you get ajustable arms.

those tie bars only ajust the tension dont they?

my series 2 has 1.5 deg camber on the front -.5 toe and 18 deg caster.

handles pretty good like that.

get it to a decent 4 wheel machine and get a caster sweep done.

the tie bars adjust in length moving the lower arm forward or back thus changing the castor angle.and yeah you do need adjustable lower arms to alter the camber i have a beissbarth geometery machine i set my car up on just wondering if anyone had any good settings. found out zoo do adjustable rear suspension which sounds interesting would like to see some pics.
cheers kris

When i was looking into suspension setups for my track car, i phoned up Richard Longman and he told me that as standard set-ups go for the road and occasional track days the original settings are fine. Just make sure that they are Exactly right allround and then take it for a drive. A very well set-up standard car cxan often be better than a messed around with car.

But then again they even ran wider front tires than rears. Would be interesting though.
