im just about to fit my new dizzy.....
is there anything i need to bear in my mind, do i need to get the ignition timing set up afterwards? its on my s1 erst engine with ke jetronic.
is it as simple as remove the old one and fit the new one???

There should be some maks on the dizzy. Fit the new one in as close a position as possible to the original and it will be ok. You could have the timing checked if you are worried about it.
Just pop the cap off with the leads still attached. Unclip the wiring. Undo the 2 bolts. Old one off and new one on. The dizzy drive will only go in the end of the cam one way.

I did mine last year...
I drew around the top of the dizzy where it sits against the head with a sharp pencil, then as above, just unbolt and replace
Make sure you put a brand new O ring in
From opening the bonnet to closing it again its a 10 minute job. (With a 5 minute teabreak
)
You could still get the timing checked again afterwards for peace of mind though.

brand new o ring fitted too
and struck up first time, bad news is, it only runs for about 3 seconds then cuts out, fuel pump relay i think!!!
