ive heard that you can get a brand new head ported and polished, big valve head, gasflowed a cam for £500 this true?

you can get your head worked on to big valve and ported/polished spec though. no cam or any parts to do with it, literally valves and porting if i remember what i was told correctly

u can have a head done for 350+ vat , this is what i use on mine and has done 350bhp and over 2bar of boost
this head uses standard valves

for a newman cam 110+vat and 128+vat for solid lifter

£690in

if u want big valves it will be more

 

i want some head work done on mine. currently only has a piper t285 cam thingy.

stuart collins, what spec is your block then? ie rods, bottom end etc

 

my brothers got a jamsport head on his rs turbo best mod he ever did

 

a modified head weather its from jamsport or another company is such a good mod due to the engine gaining power right through the rev range. this ois one of those mods were you will feel and hear the differents.

 

I don't agree with that. It is dependant on the spec. You can kill the torque by fitting a modified head on a car that doesn't need one.

I ran a standard head until well into 200bhp and the car felt great. When I changed over to a ported head, the peak torque dropped heavily.
