Default Coilpack on zetec focus

Right i have done a favour for a mate and had a look at his focus which is running on three cylinders.

Checked it over and there is no spark at the actual coil pack end of the lead to no 4 cylinder...Is this a comman thing with them?

How much will he expect to pay for a new coilpack or could it be something else?

Thanks for any ideas

anytime theres a missfire on number 4 on a focus its THE COIL PACK< NEVER LEADS !!!!!

part number is 1317972 from fords and is 32.50 trade including vat

IF you dont get it done as soon as the management light comes on and carry on buzzing about on 3 cylinders you will fuck the honeycombe on the cat aswell,,,,, lifes a bitch aint it

people try plugs and leads first but if its number for just change the coil pack !!!!

number 4 lead is the shortest one !, its a coil pack design fault !!!!
