I have polished the standard case of an -31 actuator to mirror shine. After that I put a laquer on it to prevent it from oxidation.

But now after a year and hardly have used the car there is some oxidation under the painting...

So now I have taken of the laquer and polished it again and it looks fine now.

But what is the best way to prevent a polished peach of metal from oxidation?

Some kind of special paint maybe?
