anyone help? cold start problem with my fiesta rs turbo
Hi there, I have a fiesta rs turbo. it runs fine when warm (except the occassional small jolt) but when cold it run s light a bag of nails and keeps dying, sometimes it will start and run fine but when you go to drive it a little way down the road it will cough and splutter and die, get it going again and let it warm up well and it is fine. Have bin told it might be the coolant temp sensor. Can anyone help me, thanks Chris.
Get emissions checked, then clean out ISCV.
Generally if your ECT is out it will go mega rich so would in fact give you the opposite, ie it would be better when cold but soot plugs continually when warm.
Does not sound like ECT to me, when checking emmisions set Co to a bit richer, as if running lean it will do this, I would set around 2/2.5%
