Got stoped earlier for driving with my front fogs on. Apparently he saw me a bit earlier but couldn't stop me at the time. Copper was quite shirty with me. I denied it as I knew I didn't have them on. Twat was still being shirty with me even when I pointed out the car didn't have any front fog lights

He just stomped off saying "Well don't do it again"

I got a £30 fine for that, the copper had to overtake my gf and my mate to get to me then gave me !!! pulled me and gave me aload of shit for 20 mins

However years ago we were driving through some city in thick fog, the police pulled us up as apparently it is illegal to drive in resedential areas with your fog lights on

What took the piss even more was my mate got a £30 fine for it ! 400yds down the road it was apparently ok as it was out of town

Lol i have been pulled for this aswell when i had my DC2, got a 10 min lecture off 2 coppers and they kept pointing to the front od my car where the lights where.
After they stopped rabiting on and started to write the ticket, i kidly informed them that they where the side lights that i had on and thats where Honda put them as standard. The lights below where the actual fog lights which i did not have turned on.

All they said was why didn't you say when we first pulled you? I replied with well you told me to stand there and be quiet so i did

I had the prats in Stevenage do the very same thing last year!! I told him to come around the front of the car...............As the fucking thing never had fogs!

ive been done for driving with fog lights on, took it to court as i had driving lights and not fog lights (as said in drivers handbook) still got fined and £45 court costs

good. whatever the handbook calls them, they are unnecessary. if you can't see where you're going with 2 normal dipped beam headlights then you should go to fucking specsavers

as you are an offender, perhaps you can tell us why you feel it necessary to switch these extra lights on when it's not dark & foggy? even if it is foggy but daylight, they are not necessary and do not help you see where you are going, or be seen

 

If they are driving lights ( like the XR2i and 309GTi has IN ADDITION to front fogs ) they will come on with main beam and go OFF when you select dipped headlights

 

 

at least you didnt have any fogs lights bet he felt a bit stupid at that point.


BUT for all the twats out there that drive with fog lights on (and I reckon there are a few people gonna read this and you know who they are) turn the f****ing fog lights OFF

It pisses me off so much that I full beam people now until they've passed or if they're behind me I put my rear fog light on to blind them instead. No fookin need for them to be on.
It's not as if they don't realise they're on: what with a fookin bright dash light telling them!!!
Plus most modern cars fog switch is connected through the headlights so once the headlights have been switched off it automatically cancels the fog indication: meaning they have to physically switch the fogs back on next time they get in and cannot "leave them on by accident".

Also while we're on about fogs: people who drive with their side lights and front fogs on! WTF !!! Stick your headlights on and there will be no need to have your fogs switched on in the first place
SORT IT OUT YOU FOOKIN MUPPETS!

As for people in the rain: I can see the point there as if there's a lot of spray coming off the back of a vehicle then it can be difficult to see them without a brighter light..but no need for fronts to be on.

i HAVE driven with fogs on recently,but that was at night as one of my headlight bulbs blew and i wanted people to realise it was a car coming towards them in the dark!i think thats acceptable to avoid accidents,but otherwise,they are sooo annoying! and as said theyre only driving lights if they come on with high beam! fog lights have a separate switch with a fog light symbol on them.

My handbook says these are PIAA driving lamps, not fog lights but they still blind you to fuk .... So i'd expect to get pulled with em on.

 

i got tugged because there computer siad i had no tax and they explained why i have been pulled etc

the coppers was telling me how good there system was and 100% correct because its linked up to the main server at the dvla and the camera sticking out of the window reads all the car's plates etc...

i was sitting there saing oh right yes ok etc..

so i left it so they almost booked me for it then tool them to look in the fooking window

they more or less told me to fook off and they didnt have time to look in to the problem

then just to wind en up i drove past there camera a few times to try to piss em off

one thing that anoys me there is 2 coppers sitting in the car probably earning 30k a year sitting in a car munching doughnuts and reading a newspaper and the climate control on full whack with engine ticking over with a camera hanging out the bloody window doing all the bloody work! that dont work propely i might add!
