There is 10mm to every 1cm - so 406mm is 40.6cm, or 128mm is 12.8cm
I can't belive this thread went up in the first place (bit like asking how much 126pence is in pounds

You just take the number - 406 for example - and put a full stop before the last number! 406 becomes 40.6, as in forty-point-six-centimetres....

Bit like if I asked you how much 1003 pence is? It's simply Ł10.03p isn't it? 100pennies in a pound, 1000 penies in 10 pound, etc...
10mm in a cm, 100cm in a metre, etc etc.....
