3" Sportex Backbox fitted
hi, just recently had a sportex 3" backbox which was a direct fit, fitted to my ford focus 1.6, i wanted it to give a deeper tone and little bit louder but seems to be still quiet, my induction kit seems to be doing all the work can i do sommet to the exhaust without damaging it to get it sound louder
Hi
No, not unless you cut it open and re weld it!!!!
I recommend you buy a full cat back system because its the center box that holds back all the noise...

yea my mate was saying ditch the cat, but it fail on mot wont it, also makes a slight wistle sound when revved up does tht mean the cat is on its way out, can u get like a sports cat to go on so it pass mot and sound better
Hi
I said Cat back, leave the Cat in place... As you said it will fail the MOT and on a N/A focus it will not amke a huge amount of diffrence anyway.
All focus's have 2 silencer boxes. If you put a good quality stainless steel exhaust on they make them more free flowing, hence more noise.
I would recommend Piper, Magnex, Mongoose and Miltek.
As i understand the Mongoose and miltek use only the center box and no rear silncer so thay are louder...
