Whats that soldered to the bottom right of the top ECU? (2 Red wires and a Blue one??) That could be a board to 'fool' the fuel cut.

Bottom one looks fooked.

The 'Chip' itself is under that bent metal bar near the middle of the ECU. Usually, the chip will have a sticker on it or some sign of having been interfered with if its non-standard.

the wires dont go anywhere... middle pin seems to have been cut n the blue and orange wires are tacked on the pin ends presumably to go to a switch of some sort and the red n black are just tacked to the pins either side... any clues..??

On the top one, are those all blow marks on the sides of the chips?

Seems odd they would all blow in exactly the same place.

The wires on the top one are where its had a piggy back board installed to fool the ECU as Christian says.

Pretty sure on the top one thats just a marker they put on the chips after assembly, that would be too amazing if they all blew in the same places?!

They are just as good nas S2 ECUs. Some people recon they are better as they have no knock control which upsets the ignition curve.

Top chip looks like a later chip as it has the extra circuit board which is verticle in the shot, could be wrong but have just sold one the same on ebay.
