Nice choice of car

Plenty of cars being broken on here and parts available and i'm pretty sure most cvh alternators and starters will do the job so no need to hunt for genuine RS ones

Your alternator can more than likely be put right for about £20, starter motor i would advise getting the smallest one you can to distance it from the hot exhaust downpipe, the smaller the better

Could also buy a starter motor heatshield from Fords to fit and protect it some more.

Front fans (plural?) Standard only has 1 large on the front. Have you got two that need replacing? Why do they/it need replacing?

If you want new items, try Ford first. They should have a dizzy cap at least.

it all started when i didnt notice the front fans not working, and engine overheated and blew the coolant hoses off! and the distributor seems to be on the blink..aswell as the car unable to start due to the startmotor not turning over, which is either coz its bunk or the battery is a bit flat due to alternator.

It'll be alright mate

Its always ropey buying a 20 year old second hand car, you never know whats been done to it

Best way is to learn yourself and then you KNOW if everything is ok or not
