Theres many people that have had Pipers and have learn't the expensive way, a CVH35 is far better as far as dyno results go, and piper cams also wear at an obscene rate.

My mate also had one and they dont have the ball bearing pressed into the centre of the shaft, he couldn't stop oil pissing out of it and all inside the cam belt cover.

As said mate, Kent CVH35, I have one in my RST and it seems spot on. I also have a Kent CVH22 in my XR2 and that runs like a little dream

285T2 is a pants profile. It sacrifices loads of mid range grunt for a small increase in peak power. Absolutely pants.

Kent CVH35 or a Newman , 285T2 only if you want a nice paper weight

i found 2 or my 3 Kent cams (2x35's and 1x34) like to wear @ a fast rate.

Never used a piper.

And Newmans is my next route.

ive had a kent piper and newman, the newman is far better than any of 3
i never had any issues with my piper wearing down fast, but felt the car felt less powerful lower down in the rev range to get top end power where as my newman has more low down grunt and still more top end than the piper, although mine is custom specced so cant comment on there off the shelf item, also when considerin the newman you have to get he solid lifters which will need adjusting often
