sounds to me the battery is not holding charge or the altanator is not charging or over charging and knackerd your batt!!!

if you can get hold of a multi meter from some where it would help alot....
because i need you to check the charge rate....once we know what its charging at i can tell you what the problem is by the volt reading.

I'd say it's lost charge through the loose lead. . now the battery's flat and its not had a chance to charge from just leaving it running for a short period.

cabbyturbo

I'd bet my bollcocks on it.....

It it's electrics are working while engine is runnint, then current id coming from alternaotor. If they dont work when engine is off, it HAS to be the battery. If it is that flat due to charging issues, it is now shafted.

but what if the surpressor has a winding problem in the altanator and creating an open circuit which will give more than the normal ampage of about 1.50 amps to a high 3.0 or 4.0 amp thus creating the drain as it is ignition fed.... anything is possible on a car.....

the alternator charge current would overcome it for a short period of time.

Alternators dont operate fully until something like 3500Rpm? so if it was sitting idling on a drive. . it wouldnt charge the battery, and depending on how flat the battery was, it could take even longer to start giving it charge!
