Default I have turned Jap lol :blabla:

I can't believe it myself - a Jap Turbo lol

I have fallen in love with this car already:
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/122136.htm

Sold My racing Puma to my brother (bargain price i may add)

I bought it on Monday and its just a joy to drive.... I have driven loads of cars but this really is a fast mashine - as quick as my m3 Evo easy.

The car has just been dropped off at my local exhaust centre where i'm getting a double twin dtm style exhaust put on there as i hate that big jap back box lol

What do you guys think?

I'll spend a bit on it to get it how i want it but i change my cars like i change my pants - once every other month

Bit backend happy - worse than my Lotus Elise and M3 - I think the mk2 mr2 had problems with where the weight was for it to handle properly

Indeed I do.

I've got a Rev2 Turbo, and although mine is very lightly modified, it's been a great little car whilst I've had it.

Looks like you got that one for a good price as well.....

Bit backend happy - worse than my Lotus Elise
Paul - Nice car! Does look like a lot of car for 3k

What elise have you got or had? I'm seriously tempted to get one and have been vaguely looking for a while. But in a way it seems that you don't get a lot of car for your money with an elise IMO. Whats your impressions of the elise? your thoughts would be appreciated.

cheers,
steve

Well steve - I have a Bell and Colvill 160 Sport S1 Elise - i spent a bit to it and sold it last year.

I really really loved that car and wish i didnt sell it - amazing accelation and awesome predicable handling (unlike my MR2 now which seems to step out when your not expecting it 2).

I can see you've had/got a Westfield and in my opinion they are very similar cars (same pick up and handling) but the lotus has loads of sex appeal and if you get a good price in the begining then in two years you will be able to sell it for the same money or Ł500 less max.

So what sort of money are you thinking of spending..... Personally the S1 is a better car due to weight etc so whatever you can afford i'd go up the S1 Range.

For Ł8-9k you can get a fairly good B&C or a VVC (Stay away from the 1.8i as the k-series engine doesnt do the car justice).

Paul - I just know that the std 1.8i elise is gonna quickly feel too tame, and leave me wanting more power - there only about 118-120bhp arn't they.

So I am thinking I'd go for a 111 which has the VVC engine or maybe the Sport 160 (but I hear that these can be a bit flat and not so drivable lower down the rev range.?). Prob look to spend about 9k on an S1 I guess.

Actually prefer the look of the S2 elise, although I know that their heavier and the driving experience is not as 'raw' as the S1. Can't really afford (or justify) the 13-15k that I'd need for a good 111 model S2 though.

Guess I'll just keep my eyes open and see if anything tempting comes along. Not in a real hurry TBH.

Cheers,
steve
