i'm wondering, as these were fitted to later cossie's onwards,
who's still uses them, or fitted with a after market Ecu's?



as i was wondering if anyone has issues with miss reading of different vibrations/ noises, say from a noisey Dog gearbox etc etc?

i cant think of any BIG ho cars that run one,, hard to tune the sensor filters to work with a fully sorted car!

i couldn't think of any either.

i remember someone mentioning the new bmw M3's and other cars, that run a very hi tech knock sensor/ecu set up, and self map's to different fuels etc etc

 

the new m3 and e60 m5 run ion sensing system,, this measures the resistance of the spark plug gap, there is a sudden change of resistance detonation starts to occur! very complex!

E60 M5 run very impressive ecu system!

it would work perfectly,, once you spent the money on developing it! not an easy job!

can anyone remember when simon (secs) was developing a system to fit to cosworth which would stop them from blowing up? i wonder if it was alsong those lines as he never said nothing more about it

but he was also doing, data logging, launch controll, fly by wire, etc etc.
