Default cosworth Starting problem

i have a problem with the cossie that only happens when i try to start it,

When i bought the car it was fine no probs at all, i then had it serviced/oil change etc.
Since the service when i start it, it splutters then dies, if i start it and press the accelator it seems to make it worse and doesnt rev properly initally and dies almost every time, after starting 2-3 times its fine. also since the service upon starting i get a bit of black smoke, i have had the fueling checked and i was told its ok, but again the smoke was only after the service.
I dont want to seem like i am saying anything was wrong with the service, just maybe the service has highlighted a problem.

I have just changed the spark plugs NGK's to Motorcraft, but this made no change, maybe the gap is out?

I had the service a good few months ago, but have not been driving the car, so have left it a while to try to fix the prob as i thought i may as well wait to fix when i take the car off the road.

does anyone have any ideas at all?

Hello,

I have had also a starting problem on my 4x4 Cossy.

Sometimes it runs quickly and sometimes 20 - 60 secunds during-startin and dthen it smoked and runed on 2 or 3 Zylinders.

The Water-Temperatur-Sensor (Blue Sensor i remember) was defekt

Than with the new Sensor the problem was past

Greetings

what kind of oil was used in the service maybe down to a change in oil grade? and check the filters are correct, mistakes can happen at garages,
