Default S1 Boosting Question....

was bored at work today, so cleaned up my metering head, and decided to connect my boost gauge up and see what it was boosting at as it felt a bit slow (compared to the cossie anyway!). So went for a drive, and wait for it........

Its boosting at a MASSIVE 4psi. DOH!

SO, can i just shorten the actuator rod to get it up again. The cars totally standard and not been mucked with, so maybe the actuators gone weak? at full throttle, its smells of petrol quite a bit too.

if so, is it 2 turns for 1 psi as cossie actuator?

Cheers!
Mike

I had a problem with my metering head...similar to your problem. So i put a series 2 unit on and got Karl to set it up for me..... He gave me 1 psi more than standard

it might be that the amal valve's not activating.

4psi sounds right from a standard actuator set up correctly. you acheive the higher boost from the amal valve bleeding off some of the air

check if your amal valve is clicking

The amal valve should click when you turn the ignition on. (just once)

Steve.
