Thats what i was thinking. For the amount of supposed big power rst's and the like it seems its always the usual suspects that actually put down good times.

Wasn't bad at all Rod for an 'oldie' <cough> and a 20 yr old car, which is purely a track car and not set up for doing top speed runs

on your top speed run from stand still, how much distance did you take to get to 184?

1.7 i think?

was using the run off to get the car going and into 3rd..WOT then it would wheelspin then chnage gear..full traction in 4th.

hard to compare to brunters as you dont start off coming round the corner

I'm still intrigued by my top speed as I saw 6800-6900rpm in 5th and with bigger tyres than I ran at Brunters last year (where I only saw 6600rpm).

Other than that, I'm pleased.

i found at brunters, doing a stand start or using the bend didn't make much difference on mine, not even 1 mph @ the end.

the only problem with all the fwd cars is putting the power down.. the 1/4 mile terminal speeds tells you the power there, hell i should be doing 11s quaters with my ternimals, but launching the car with minimal wheel spin is so hard, i've done better times with far less power.
i'm going to address my boost control with a boost controller where the boost can get mapped in progressively and smaller wheels with sticky tyres wont do any better then 13s with 17 inch wheels, i either bog down or wheel spin to death.. none of the cars have a smooth power delivery its all or nothing
