Should be.

Oil will only start to 'go off' once it's been in an engine

I can't see mineral oils having a shelf life - i mean they've sat underground for however many million years...

Fully synthetic oils that have been developed in a lab - possibly i can see a shelf life appearing if there are 'perishable' chemicals added...

Castrol oils have a PRODUCTION date printed on the bottle.

Its not a sell by or use by date.

If its a mineral oil - its been in the ground for millions of years, a decade in your shed wont hurt it!
