Hi People

I had an attempted theft on my rs last night at about 7 but we disturbed him before he could get the car moved or started (Nearly caught him as well), but my question is can you still get new door locks from Ford as he hamered a screw driver into it and also dented the door, and can the new lock be made to fit the original key instead of having two different keys.

yes you can only a month ago I got a complete set of locks including, ignition, fuel cap, and doors from ford, however this did come with new keys

 

May I ask How much cash you had to hand over in exchange for the locks?

 

yeh you can still get new locks , and they used to be able to build it to work from your old key but not sure if they still , i good locksmith might be able to help you if you can get the drop pins separate from ford . you need the code off your key and corresponding pins to match it , they are quite simple to change the pins but very fiddly
