Default Pug 306 help

My 306 has started to make a clunking/knocking noise from the front left wheel area.

First thought was CV joint as its only when turning but there doesn't seem to be any excessive play.
Can't see any signs of any rubbing/catching anywhere either as that was something else i thought.

It happens when turning either left or right but it stops if you release the throttle.

Any ideas?

It'll most likely be the ARB link arm or lower arm bushes. You won't normally see any play in them, they'll just drive you mad by rattling like fcuk over lightly undulating (sp?) terrain.

hth.

Anti Roll bar droplinks are definately your first port of call at only roughly £8 to buy + 5 mins fitting time per side - I changed everything before these as well - drove me mad for months!!!

drop links are more than £8.....

worth trying to see if the bearing, lower ball joint or anything else has got any free play in it and also that everything is clearing other parts ok and no stones caught anywhere......
