This car is from Denmark and tuned by a bloke called Troels Vollertsen,
I think he is mostly into Rallycross cars.... maybe you can get hold of him
via the danish cosworth forum?

i thought it was quite impractical to do a twin turbo on a 4 cyl engine??
Can one of the tuners give us the pros and cons for this conversion, apart from the less lag. Surely it will lose top end power???
Any more spec on the car?

tony turbo did one years ago as far as I was aware experimented with it a bit and said the costs didnt justify the benefits.
I cant quite get my head around the low lag bit. id take it 1 and 4 are joined and 2 and 3. so you only have half the exhaust gas volume instead of just a big exhaust so id imagine they are similar to one big turbo in terms of lag as the forces required to spin two turbos up would be similar??
unless they are sequential somehow?

(Not the Klan either, the German turbo makers, lol)
I doubt it makes any noticable difference in lag at all to be honest.
That twin turbo = less lag thing is a myth really, like rollerbearings, make a small difference, but often a barely or not at all noticable one.
Fair play tho, looks smart as fuck

Only way I can see it would reduce lag steve is if you had one very small turbo (that would spool up virtually from idle but run out of puff say at 3k rpm, and it blew directly into a second turbo, a much larger one that wouldn't normally come on boost till say 4k.... So you would use the exhaust gasses to spool up the tiny turbo, and that tiny turbo is what would spool up the big turbo and thre big turbo feeds directly into the throttle butterfy.................???

Its also the first thing that gets binned once the mods get serious as far more complicated that what makes it worthwhile as doesnt make the car any quicker, smoother yea, bit more lowdown power yea, quicker, no unless you cant change gear no.
