Making an "Image" of a game on hard disk?
How would i go about this? ive got Alcohol 120% free with some software ages ago but never actually used it, but am i right in thinking i can do this on Alcohol 120%?
If so can i have a step by step of how to do it? and also is there any downsides to making an image?
Thanks

A lot of games wont image properly unless you have safedisc (+ others) cracking software.
What i do is for games i own i want to have an ISO backup of is use 'certain other means' of getting them.
But lets not discuss that in here.

This post is ages old, i found out how to do it but it didnt work, it was still asking for the cd to start the game, maybe i didnt do it right but im sure i did
The "no cd" cracks wont work with this particular game either as it makes it think your using cheats etc so it wont let you play the game(battlefield 2142)
so ive just give up and keep the cd in the drive.

Download a program called clony xl (if you can) and run it on the disc, it will tell you what dummy files are on the disc which makes it un copyable. You should be able to copy all the files off the game disc into a folder and burn it back, or, Just use Nero and to dvd - dvd copy, then download the patch of www.gamecopyworld.com
