Default zetec turbo ingredients

right ive been on here thinking what engine to go for in
my series 1 & i think ive finaly made my mind up but i cant
save money cos im shite at it so im just going to buy the
ingredients every month (pay day) until its ready to give to an engine builder i have in mind im not after a sertain bhp
but just something to beat or keap up with my mates impreza's
& give the wow factor when i pop the bonnet
any way this is what i have thaught up so far feal free
to tell me what else is neaded;

cosworth racing low comp pistons £450
eagle "h" section rods £350
AP racing six paddle clutch kit £350
tubular manifold £350 (found a guy
custom inlet manifold £300 (as above)
cossie bd10 ground newman cams £550 (i reckon)
ported & polished head £400
group A head gasget £130
oil cooler kit £150
pro alloy twin pass intercooler £450
T34/miram shaft/360 degree etc £800 ( 2nd hand)
3" mongoose £410
breather tank £100
arp nuts & bolts £150 (about)
b&m quick shift £200
cosworth or gotech management £??00

what kind of injectors do you reckon & where from?

i allready have a cts stg 2 + box
what do you think as im going to get every thing neaded before
i take the standard engine out

mate be carfull with the eagle racing rods the small end is 19mm as found in the later zetec and the early zetec use a 20.63mm small end just check the gudgeon pin sizes

I have a set of eagle rods here if u want to buy them 260 delivered.

For your injectors it depends on how much power you are after.

I have got a set of Bosch dark greens only done 1000 miles since new, they will take you to around 330bhp.

Management I would recomend Gotech as it does everything you will ever need plus it has Data logging. Very easy to fit only took a couple of hours to put in on mine.

i would get some rc injectors and go for omex 600 and a new loom
what turbo you thinking of

all dependant on howmuch money you have to spend and the hp your wanting? tell us that and we might be able to spec accordingly

A good intercooler and 17psi from a good turbo should see 200bhp and more than see your mates scooby off... tried and tested (wrx obviously).

theres not realy a budget...we'll say around 6k realy & havent realy got an idea of bhp either...around 300 maybe?

Our YB Cosworth cams retail at £300 a pair + VAT not £550 like other Kent based camshaft companys.

the 1.8 zvh brian fletcher built me was good enough to see off a rb 5 impreza...my spec is stg2 hybrid,chip,5th inj,285t2 piper cam,grs 'cooler,stainless exhaust,kand n..etc.but the guy on here sas whos answered further up on your post can do gotech fitted and mapped for a good price and he is located in pitlochary a couple of hours down the road from you!!!! did you get offshore on wed. or did you spend the night in lerwick? i got bumped at 11 am yesterday..

I would personally reccomend Weber Marelli (Cosworth) Management management as not only has this system been proven but it has a great relsale value, many peoples reasoning behind not using this system is apparently cost, however this is relected in the value when selling on.
The Weber Marelli (Cosworth) Management system is exceptionally easy to map and can be done so by a wide number of tuners across the UK unlike other systems.
