Default expert needed vauxhall vectra not starting

hi I have a vauxhall 1.8 x reg vectra that I am trying to get started it won't start but will turn over both management lights are on and 1 will flash was told its a immobilizer problem tried putting the snap on diagnostic reader on there but comes back with fault not recognized is there a way of programming the key could that have lost its program or what ells could it be any help appreciated thanks

I'm no expert on this, but could the crank and cam sensors have gone out of sync or one of them have dried out? That was the eventual problem on mine, and after the AA guy read the codes he popped the sensors out, gave them a quick squirt of WD40 and the car started first time.

you aint recently changed the battery in the fob have you? Inside the fob there is a transponder for the immobiliser, they fall out sometimes when the batteries are changed

Vectra's are renowned for immobilizer and ecu problems hopefully you will be lucky but don't count on it!

Here but i know FUCK ALL about modern vauxhall immobilisers, my interest in cars tends to end at about 1990
