I hate these threads. Not cos of the saddness it brings to hear about such horrific things (and I abore cruelty in any form to animals, especially when it's pre-meditated and deliberate) but also cos the completely fucking stupid responses they get on here.

On the other hand, I DO know where you guys are coming from. As a long time supporter of animal charities, I hate with a passion to see animals suffer, and people being cruel to them. I myself would like to kick seven shades of shit out this bloke, but the difference is I say I wish I could, not say THAT I would.... Cos I know that would never actually happen. A) cos I know what type of person I am and that would make me just as bad as him, and 2) I ain't stupid and am not risking doing time over something I have no control over, and something that has already been done. Me kicking the living daylights out of him isn't gonna change anything that has happened is it?

Of course, should I have witnessed this in person myself, then yeah, something would have been done.

I do hope the dog doesn't suffer for this tho - it's not the dogs fault at all, as it cannot help how it is brought up or how it is "trained" (or "conditioned" if you like) to behave/act. The fact is this lad deliverately teased the dog with the cat as if it was a toy, and the dog being "conditoned" the way it probably has, obviously thought it was the thing to do, to maim and kill it.

if someone had caught him in teh act and giving him a pasting that would be fairly ok in my eyes, and, if he gets a pasting from the local rspca every once in a while, i'm sure people will turn a blind eye too

i think there should be some kind of license to owning these type of "attack" dogs like staffies rotties dobermans akitas etc.now i know it is all about how those dogs are brought up and treated and allot of peaple on pf own these types of dogs(probably very responsably)but the staffie seems to be the choice of the ned,this is not a dig in any way(my mate kev on here has two great staffies)
