How much can the fuel pressure be increased on the standard
4x4 Sierra fuel pressure regulator?

Hi,

Increasing is : basic pressure fuel pump (3,5 bars) + boost pressure.

ie : if boost pressure is 1,5 bar (22 psi) , total fuel pressure will be
1,5 + 3,5 = 5 bars (75 psi)

It's reason because fuel pump capability and good wiring are very important.

I know what you mean, but I´m interested how much I can
increase the fuel pressure with the top screw?
What I have learned is that the original fuel pressure regulator
is set to 3 bar with vacuum pipe unplugged.
How much can I increase the pressure when I make some turnings
on the screw on the top?

Set up is 3,5 bars with pipe unplugged.
Your tuner know exactly your new set up fuel pressure.
Anyway, if you have no info about, check and no change is recommanded.

HI!

Made now some measurements on the pressure regulator and
found out that it´s adjusted to appr. 2,9bar with pipe unplugged.
In wich direction do I have to turn the screw to increase it to 3,5bar?

HI!

Made now a "calibration" with a WIKA pressure test equipment.
A 1/4 turn on the screw changes the pressure already alot so
it´s not so easy to set it on 3,5bar.

stange...I had to do one full turn clockwise...to go from 2.9 to 3,4 bar.....on a brand new regulator

Why was the new regulator set on 2,9 bar? Was it with pipe
unplugged?

Between 3,5 bar and srew full turned (nearly 5 bar) there is
max. a 1/4 to a 1/2 turn on mine...

I dont know why....it was 2,4 with and 2,9 without as far as I remember ...and it is brand new from woodford....and I did adjust it 1 full turn to raise it 0,5 bar...??
