out in the coz ,what a laugh, just talkin about these on here the other day and last night i went out for a play and guess what? a silver m3 comes onto junction and follows me, so bait him lke fuck and he starts to play, couple of cars in front of me and when they clear the roads totally empty, i floor it flat out and so does he, theres nowt in it really but he couldnt gain at all, kept it going till just ober 160 which created a gap, then i realised they are limited to 155, backed off and pulled in , he even flahed his lights when he turned off the road, good sport or what, very impressed with the bm, well quick, just not quick enough
I had a race with a porsche last night, we both got up to 150mph then the porker left me
mind you it was a new carrera turbo
Think he was a bit pissed off a 16yrs sierra kept up with him
not bad for a stage 1
Well done strut brace

I did a new M3 a few months ago as well. Baited him, and we went from 40mph to 120 going onto a dual carriageway - was very little in it TBH - pulled about 1 car length on him and that was it which could have been down to gear changes I guess. He backed off at 120mph.
Not bad for a stage 1 though!!
'bout a week after that I got nuked by an M5 though - Christ are they fast...

aye , an e46, they are more powerful than the older ones, (343bhp i think old ones were 286 ish if im not wrong), and are a lot quicker than old ones, mines a stg 3 with escoz chargecooler etc, all expertly set up by motorsport developments, love to have a go aT M5, done a couple of boxters and an oldish 911, new bmw m3 was the quickest think ive raced by far, think some more go faster bits are needed

find it hard to beleive that a stage 1 cossie can beat a new M3 unless a complete fag is driving the BM

Going to National Day on the Sunday morning on the M1 a magenta saph floored it infront of me (in a 5 series derv
) upto 135-140ish just after I pulled on off the A14, pulled a gap then pulled in.. But then again I was only getting up to cruising speed

The specs on them are roughly as follows:
E36 M3 3ltr = 286bhp
E36 M3 Evo 3.2ltr = 320bhp
E46 M3 Evo = 325bhp
E46 M3 CSL (has carbon roof, cardboard boot floor
Apparantly you have to sign a declaration when purchasing the 'CSL M3' to say you wont drive the car in the wet or the cold because the tyres wont work!
Mind you i've insured one at work and less than a year on it had to go in the paintshop cos the paint flaked on the front bumper for no reason!
JAP CRAP, Was pure straight line - not even a launch so easy as.... E46 M3 is fucked on power to weight. My Cossie - 270bhp, 1200kg. E46 M3 325bhp and about 1600kg.
The M5 was a couple of year old. Model that has just gone out of production before the new V10 arrives.
That was a standing start, and honestly - he monstered me. Just went away like I was on part throttle....

Don't where you got the spec for the M3 E46 325bhp because it ain't right.
E46 M3 is 343 bhp in standard trim & is definately quicker than the E36 M3 evo 321bhp.
performance on the E39 M5 & E46 M3 are very similar.
My old M3 3.0 286bhp wasn't as quick as my cossie which was rolling roaded at 288bhp. M3 still did 13.9 Q at the pod which i would say is quick for a car straight out of the box, terminals were 100 mph dead where as the cossie was 107mph.

Simon, I cant honestly see the new E46 M3 being 346 odd bhp if the new CSL M3 is circa 355bhp, BMW arnt going to charge £20,000 difference for the sake of about 9bhp!?
insane.cossie.driver, didn.t look at your post properly, sorry dude, 6 gears is

You've been sniffying too much petrol from that leaky YB block of yours. No stage 1 sierra Cosworth can take a well driven 996 Turbo.
240+ HP?? > 415 HP?? , not on your life!
