without sounding to stupid but what is 1 and what does it do?
are they needed for good power results

 

A bleed valve allows you to bleed pressure away from the actuator - which controls boost.

Basically, it's a way of increasing boost. Nothing wrong with one, as long as the engine is ok with whatever boost you set it at.

its just that the car i got on sat had what i delived to be a bleed valve on but no boost. repiped it to the amal valve and got boost back but its peak is 23psi

 

23 PSI is way too much. You'll probably need to lengthen the rod of the waste gate actuator. Or somebody has messed around with the amal valve. If you're not into that stuff it's probably best to see an expert first.

 

Nothing wrong with bleed valves all the best tuners use them, just remember its not a DIY job adjusting them
