Default Engine out and re wiring?

Has anyone done this to their series 2 rs turbo.

I've had enough with my poxy alarm going off every 2 mins and generally not working! So im having the engine out and want to rewire the whole thing!

How difficult is this going to be?

Cheers peeps

im in middle of taking my wiring loom out coz mine has lots of cuts into it from where previous owners have had their own gauges etc plus we cant work out how the last owner has wired in the poxy alarm and immobiliser. they done a shit job basically. r u thinkin of gettin a whole different loom like i am, or do u mean just re-wiring ya engine bay?

Hi Billy, hope all is well.

I did this when i did my bonus to Turbo. I got hold of a complete RS Turbo loom that hadnt been messed around wih and it was very easy.
take all the interior and dash out and i had it done within an hour no sweat.Just remember that the whole wiring has to come out through the engine bay as it is a one piece loom

So i just want to start a fresh.

Can you get brand new looms? Or make one?

Help me lads!

what we're goin to do with my car is get the new loom in there and make sure it all starts and runs fine, then we are gona put the alarm back in.

i only just started taking my old one out today and looking at it, the worst part IMO is disconnecting the fuel pump wire coz the join of the 2 wires f one part of it must be under the car somewhere on mine so that might be bit of a bugger to do

hey, i've seen your car before around sundon park!

your best bet it to get a new or complete second hand loom and swap it over.

are you any good with wiring? 9 times out of 10 when an alarm is introduced into the loom they just cut a wire and join the alarm in the gap.
