Default valve collits.. who hates them..

i was geting on nice lappin my new valves in then building it up and geting the collits in when i lost one fook nows were thay go just sprung out , looked for ages and still could not find it so rang a mitsu place and hes posted me 4 for free, but its stopped the rebuild one little collit i hate them, heres a pic of the head tho cumin on very nice





and new mitsu multi layer metal head gasket

I lost a collet once in my garage, it sprung out somewhere, spent hours looking for it. My mate walked in the nest day, spotted it straight away!!!!!

Isnt that always the way, you can look and look and someone else can just spot whatever it is your looking for straight away

I'd be concerned that it might be on the head somewhere and come back to haunt you when the head is back on.

grease on a screwdriver holds 'em on nice puttin 'em on, then as ricksaid a bit of cloth or something

Yep, hate them too

Managed to drop one down an oil way on my sisters xr2i about 10 years ago (was doing the valve stem oil seals)

i now mate the thing is i herd it fly off the garage door so cud be anywere, but iv used a magnectic rod on my head plus spent ages going thru every nook and crany , i also once dropped one doin my s2 down the engine some were and had to take the sump off and found it in there should have the old girl runnig in the next day or so
