Default boost surge

can any one explane the term boost surge got a noise from the turbo and could be this and the resons that may cause it

it happens when the turbo is producing more flow than the engine is consuming! the exhaust energy starts to fall off redusing the torque available on the compressor wheel slowing it down (lowering the output flow) the compressor now starts speeding up again producing flow until it hits the same spot as earlyer (engine not consuming the flow) and it all starts again

whats the spec of your engine?

just put it back on greens ,low comp ,cooler all normal stuff 34 tybrid ,slight head work only trying for22psi but at about 5 grand it starts to surge and back off

are you sure its surging? and not just a missfire? or running massivly lean

reason i say that,,, is that t35 never surge

defo not a miss fire should not be lean its a new MSD chip with a base idle of 3 % the car is mechanicly prity good was wondering about the amel valve jetting

ps sorry about the slow responce keyboard batterys flat and on on screen keyboard

Make sure you have enough preload on your actuator...

it boosts over 20 psi tib on gauge seems plenty on it, it strange proper chip MSD, ran fine stage one put on greens all gone weird

sorted most of the poor power issue was as garath said very low co was the problem still got the noise like a high pitch squeel thought it may be turbo but but runs spot on when onlow boost 15psi(aprox) no noise could it be the amal valve ?checked hoses etc
