Default R reg fiesta heater not working??

ok the blower works but no heat, what would be the first most common thing to check, bearing in mind i checked the hose to the heater matrix thing, they are getting hot, just no hot air, would it be an easy fix?

oh one more thing, the radiator fan only comes on when i disconnect it from the thermostat switch, and off when plugged in, it doesn't ever seem to come on when plugged in, would that be the switch bolloxed or summin else, if so where would i get the stat switch?

cheers

Heater control valve in the bulkhead, look behind the engine. Black box with 2 pipes going in. Theyre about 40 quid from a dealer and take 10 mins to swap.

Very common fault.

yep i'd go with the HCV too mines buggered on mine i've got hold of a second hand puma one, i wouldnt get a new one from fords either as that will cause the car to over heater when you select the heat from the controls inside as i found out. Go scrapy and get one from a puma or from a fiesta but make sure the part number starts wit 96 and not 98 i think thats the rite way around only cost Ł20
