unfortunately I dont know too much about why muslim women wear veils etc...

So was just wondering, if they were to go on holiday.. what happens at Passport control?? as for all we know, it could be a man behind ??

 

A report in a recent tabloid newspaper, showed that they weren't stopped at most British airports, but were in other countries.

I *THINK* that they would probably be asked into a private room with a female officer, if there was any problem.

Well u cant wear a veil on a valid pass port photo so i guess if there was a problem they would have to un-veil themselves!

 

Why would that matter when they're checking your passport??

If you get taken into another room, its done by a member of the same sex as yourself. Thats not a muslim thing, happens in all airports.

Have you seen a Muslim passport? The last one I saw in the middle east, the womans photo was her in a veil, so thats why I asked

 

A UK passport wont allow you to wear a veil though. The reason i mentioned a female taking them into a seperate room is, they dont have a problem being seen by females, but they are not allowed to have their face seen, by the superior beings - the males

 

i saw a muslim passport once when i used the international phone book to order a take away, he still got it here within the hour, but apparently the flight was a bit rough on the way over.

I think its nice that muslim women degrade themselves to objects which are to be so exclusively owned by their husband that they wont even allow other men to see them.

I dont see how a persons identity can be seen by a pair of eyes, sorry but its a total joke if ANY passport allows it, one could use it, they could send it to someone else, they can come over using it, send it to someone else, they can then come over and use it..... bloody ridiculous

The Veil comes from some kind of muslim propriety basically stopping another man looking at a married woman and lusting after her , its the whole temptation and adultery thing , a muslim woman isnt allowed to show any part of her body in public that could be seen as to entice another mans emotions

i was discussing this with my girlfriend the other day while we were out to dinner... apparently nowhere in the koran does it say that they have to wear the veils, just dress modestly, and most women in indonesia (where she's from - which also happens to be the most heavily populated muslim country in the world i'm told) most women would just wear a head scarf if anything so I get the impression this is more of an arabic thing. the reason stated by Deano is apparently correct though... seems a little arrogant to me that they all think they're so hot that no man could possibly control himself in their presence if he could see them.

Its not the women who want to wear the veil , its more of a man thing from what I understand it , as in the husband expects his wife to dress and act in a manner that gives no indictation to anything that could be mis-interpreted , as Im sure the punishment for adultery in certain muslim countrys is punishable by being stoned to death

There was this program the other day showing Muslim woman in Veils in Porn movies/mags. All they were wearing were their veils. Apparentley there is a growing market for this type of porn....

The producer however was interviewed covered in a scarf to avoid at Fatwa...

Guess it doesnt matter if they dont age if hidden behind a veil.

That said, the my UK driving licence is valid until about 2050 or my 70th birthday. Think I might have changed a bit by then.

but yet when i went to get mine done a few years back it got rejected cos my head was tilted in an illegal angle

Jus spoke to my pal who works in a passport office, he sais they must show full face for passport photo, altho doesnt know how it works at the airport.

wel iworked in security at heathrow for 6 months dealing with i.d cards for staf and its pretty much the same rules as with gettin a passport done

they'll just do random searches and cant pick out one ethnic group so i guess some will get let thruwhich is totally wrong imo
