would putting too much oil in your saph cause a missfire ?

also mike r said the other day about castrol rs expanding, does it do this through normal engine running ?

does mobil 1 motorsport do this too ?

Overfilling in itself would not cause a misfire!! As for Castrol oil expanding..Well it is a fluid & all fluids expand when they get warm, so i guess that this could be very true. The expansion would be negligable though.

overfilling can cause a missfire if it soaks the plug enough

As per Gus, if the engine is breathing a little heavy, then the air/fuel mix will be contaminated with oil vapour and could lead to det/missing.

over filling can cause engine damage also and as said above can cause a misfire due to plugs getting wet!
