going from 3rd to 2nd at a high rate of knots was running shit popping banging at low revs managed to get it home now it won't start, so
guys what do you think i've done? i think i have bent a valve or two

luckly i have a spare set of valves, well it looks like the head is coming off got no time this weekend so it will be in the week i will get some pics up,

would there be anything else that would be fucked!!

u'll soon know when you take the head off and 1 crown sits suspiciosly low

 

(update)
2 bent exhaust valves did take some pics but my camera is being a twat going to replace all the exhaust valves the inlet valves are sound going to reground and clean all the valves while there all out. been on the phone to fords for new cam belt, cambelt tensiner, head bolts, head gasket, should be up and running buy the end of the weekend

could have have been alot worse!

 

The good thing is: If you've managed to go from 3rd to 2nd at high revs your gearbox synchro is still up to the job... :P

 

i have a CTS stage1 box fitted 6 months ago i know the box is alright i think i have a worn gearlinkage so a short shift will be on the xmas list

 

B&M it mate. Absolutely the best thing I ever did to mine. I'm so chuffed I', buying a second for the other RS
