i have a s2 rs turbo i am running about 200bhp and i keep cracking my radiators any ideas why?

 

Where is it cracking?

 

What kind of intercooler and rad setup you got fella?

Are you running them sandwiched together or fans between, they could be rubbing.

 

its a standard radiator with a standard fan and i have a pace intecooler. the first time round when it was leaking this was because the intercooler was rubbing against the rad i have sorted that out and got the radiator re cored now a month down the line i think the plastic end cap has cracked

 

Has it split at one of the hose connections? You could have overtightend a jublee clip and cracked it when installing it. If its nothing obvious that you have done when installing it can you take it back to the place you had it recored? Would have thought they would put it right under guarantee if its just gone without any obvious reason why.

 

i have taken it back to the place that i got it recored at they said that they aint sure why it cracked the way it did they are gonna get another radiator for me because mine is apparently unrepairable hopefully it wont be long till i get my car back on the road missing it already

 

Have you had the head gasket checked?
