does anyone have picture's of a accumulator?

Been told the car doesnt have one but not sure what the thing looks like

Right, Series 1 or 2?

They are the same on both, a Series 1 and early Series 2's have them under the rear before the main fuel line, anything after is under the bonnet behing the metering head.

Here is the one on my MK3 cabby:

ive got a 88spec d reg s2 and mine is on the right hand side of the engine bay, not far from the fuel filter

Don't mean it rudley but how have you got an 88 spec D plate (85/86) car???

But thats where they mout in the engine bay yes

Yes but when u say early series 2 ppl will asume pre 90 spec, you should have wrote s1 and 86 reg s2 accumulators are on the underside

because you cant say my d reg series 2 is not early

Indeed your S2 is early, but not as early as an 86

Swings and roundabouts at the end of the day, plus the fact i bet no-one knows exactly when these things changed, so, i win
