Default rattle from top end

hello chaps, hope all is well.
I have a little problem, when i am driving i get a rattle between 2 and 3,500 revs then it irons out and is silent. I took the rocker cover off and couldnt see any signs of damage or broken rockers or springs etc. It sounds as if it is coming from the top end but i couldnt be 100% sure. Has any1 else experienced a problem like this or does any1 have some advice. The car is running fine and it also pulls fine. Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks
P.S could the water pump make a rattle like this????

it could be a loose bracket somewhere like abs brackets or covers

pop bonnet up and rev it from underneath see if u can see where its coming from?

it does sound like a loose bracket but i have checked most things and cant narrow it down, i guess i will have to keep looking. I have removed abs so it wont be that, the alternator bracket was a bit loose but when i did that the sound didnt go away
any more ideas any1????
