Default Need help - coolant leak!

I was on my way home today and thought I could smell coolant - thought I was being paranoid. Got home and checked the expansion cap and it was dry! I had to put over 2 litres in it to top it up. I then discovered that both sides of the interior carpet either side of the gearbox are soaking wet with coolant. I'm thinking a burst heat exchanger? What do you think? are they cosworth specific or will any sapphire one do?

Hi,

It is the little hole on matrix. !!!!!!
Enjoy to change
First step : remove front seats
Last step : prepare heating machine to dry the carpet.

Regards.

God damm mother f**king sh*thead - sorry about that outburst, some numbskull that had the car before me came across the problem before with this car, he decided to put a blob of silicone on the matrix to repair it. It was still slowly leaking and recently got worse hence why I noticed it. So for god knows how long there been a constant slow trickle of water down the drivers side foot well the result of which is a huge 18 inch by 4 inch section of the floorplan rusted through!
This now of course takes priority on my to do list when the car comes off the road at the end of the month. What would be the best course of action, considering the car is getting stripped down to (A) cut it out and weld in a repair section or (B) replace that side of the floor plan?
