my car wont start it turns over but will not fire does anyone have any ideas?? i have checked the fuel cut off fuse but not the fuel pump is it possible that would have blown? and i dont think i can hear it working my mate said he could but i cant and i cant smell any petrol as i push the throttle and turn over? please please any ideas i have never had anything like this before...

You will be able to hear the clicks when your turn the key to ignition position 1, if you dont hear hear any kind of click (listen towards the back of the car) then obviously the fuel pump isnt functioning.
